SHEET METAL WORKERS
Sheet metal workers fabricate, install, and maintain air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, and pollution control duct systems; and other building parts and products made from metal sheets. They may also work with fiberglass and plastic materials. Although some workers specialize in fabrications, installations, or maintenance, most do all three jobs.
The sheet metal trade is one of the few modern trades in which the skilled individual takes the raw product, interprets the design drawing, makes the shop drawing, develops the pattern, fabricates the item, then installs and maintains it.
