They install both high and low pressure pipe systems that are used in manufacturing, in the generation of electricity, in heating and cooling buildings, and high purity piping systems.
A pipefitter-refrigeration mechanic is a master craftsman who installs and services sophisticated equipment, state-of-the-art controls, and complete environmental control systems in schools, hospitals, offices, hotels, airports, malls, and apartment buildings. They also service and repair package units and large tonnage refrigeration equipment.
