Electrical construction is a very dynamic and diverse industry with specialized skills. A journeyman inside wireman must be able to layout, assemble, install, test, and repair entire electrical and electronic systems. Along with their electrical construction abilities, inside wiremen must be knowledgeable in blueprint reading, the national electrical code, local codes, and OSHA safety and health requirements for safe work practices.
Electricians work in all types of conditions: dirty, dusty, hot, wet, cold, confined spaces, in ditches, or other uncomfortable places. Whether the work is outdoors in inclement weather or in a temperature controlled building, the inside wireman takes pride in the work he or she has performed.
