What is a Teamster Driver?

Teamsters are skilled drivers for the redi-mix industry. Through apprenticeship they learn correct driving and operating skills of the boosta load mixer. Teamster Drivers must know correct driving skills, plan and delivery procedures. They are responsible for the correct mixture and additives for cement for foundations, both commercial and industrial, bridges, highways, stems, swimming pools, driveway pads, etc. They must practice safe operation at all times, being aware of danger around themselves and co-workers. They must have good customer relations.

How do I qualify?

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have a high school diploma or GED

No felony convictions

No DWI or reckless driving tickets for past 36 months

CDL permit for class A, with air-brake endorsement

What are program specifics?

Length of program - 1 year

Starting pay 60% of current journeyman rate

Pay increases review every 400 hours on the job

What do I need to apply?

Copy of high school diploma or GED

Current instruction permit, issued by Arizona Motor Vehicle Division for a

Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A with air-brake endorsement

Copy of motor vehicle report

If a veteran, a copy of DD-214 form

Proof of current DOT physical

Where do I apply?

Applications are accepted Monday through Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
